NJBIZ Conversations: Eve Goldberg
In 2014, Eve Goldberg lost her 23-year-old son Isaac to an accidental drug overdose. Through the pain, she saw something missing in the lives of young adults like Isaac. “When he did get clean, when Isaac was able to stay sober, he didn’t know how to live a normal life because all he knew was drinking and drugging with his friends who were doing the same,” Goldberg says.
“And that’s how they knew how to have a good time—that’s how they knew how to live.”
So she founded BigVision, a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a safe, inclusive community for young adults in recovery to have fun without substance abuse. In the latest edition of NJBIZ Conversations, Goldberg described her work to Editor Jeff Kanige and talked about what businesses can do to help employees who want to get sober or sustain their recovery.
