“The White Chip" is a play written by Sean Daniels, a recovering alcoholic, which tells the autobiographical story of a stage director named Steven battling addiction to alcohol, portrayed by actor Joe Tapper; the play is named after the "white chip" given to individuals in Alcoholics Anonymous signifying a commitment to sobriety; alongside Tapper, the cast includes Crystal Dickinson and Jason Tam playing multiple characters in Steven's life, and is directed by Sheryl Kaller.
